Privacy Policy

Effective October 14, 2026

The short version: we don't store your profile. Your text is sent to Google's Gemini AI to generate your results, and then we're done with it. We keep only anonymous usage counts.

What happens to your profile text

• If you upload a PDF, it is read inside your browser. The file itself is never uploaded; only the text from it is used.
• Before anything leaves your browser, we automatically remove emails, phone numbers and web links (LinkedIn PDFs include these), since they aren't needed for feedback.
• Our server sends the remaining text to Google's Gemini AI to generate your results, then sends the results back to you. We don't save your text or results to a database and don't write them to logs.
• Your results exist only in your browser tab. Refreshing or closing the page clears them.

Google Gemini (important)

We currently use Google's free Gemini API tier. Under Google's terms for that tier, Google may use submitted text and the AI's responses to improve its products, and human reviewers may read them (Google says it disconnects this data from our account first). Because of this, please leave out anything you wouldn't want a reviewer to see. See Google's Gemini API terms and Google's Privacy Policy.

Anonymous usage stats

To improve the site, we count things like page visits, device type (phone or computer), country, the website that linked you here, whether you uploaded a PDF or pasted text, your overall score, and feedback buttons you click. These are stored as anonymous totals. To count unique visitors per day, we use a one-way scrambled code made from your IP address and browser that changes every day and can't be turned back into your IP. We don't store your IP address, name, or profile text. Stats are deleted automatically after about 4 months. We don't use cookies or ad trackers.

Rate limiting

To keep the tool free, each IP address can run 3 analyses per day. A short-lived counter tied to your IP address is stored for this and expires automatically within 24 hours.

Services we use

• Google Gemini: generates your analysis.
• Vercel: hosts the website.
• Upstash: stores the rate-limit counters and anonymous usage stats.

Your rights

Because we don't keep your profile or any account information, there is nothing personal for us to look up, export, or delete. If you have questions or a privacy request, email hello@usehireable.com. We don't sell or share your personal information.

Age

Hireable is only for people 18 and older.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the effective date above.
